Band is a family of musicians who share musical works, bringing them to life through the expressive playing of wind and percussion instruments.
Mission Statement
The mission of the District 10 band program is to provide a quality instrumental music education in a nurturing environment. The band program is dedicated to fostering aesthetic growth as an essential part of a child's total education. The band program exists to facilitate the highest level of musical achievement through a comprehensive curriculum, in keeping with each child's interests, needs, and abilities.
Long Range Goals
To artistically share performance-based music composed in a variety of styles.
To gain musical knowledge, to improve musical skills, and to engage in musical thinking.
To be ambassadors of musicianship.
Rehearsal Schedule
Band rehearsals are held before or after school as follows:
Beginning Band - Tuesday at 2:45 PM (Franzen)
Varsity Band - Tuesday and Thursday at 7:15 AM
Concert Band - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 7:15 AM
